Smite Enters Closed Beta On Xbox One, Founders Pack Purchase Guarantees Access

by Mike Futter on May 13, 2015 at 09:01 PM

Smite is one step closer to launching on Xbox One. Hi-Rez’s MOBA has entered closed beta.

You can register for access now on the official website. For those looking to guarantee some pre-release play time, Hi-Rez is offering a Founder’s Pack.

For $29.99, you’ll get access to every god (playable character) released so far (63 of them) and everyone coming in the future. You’ll also get two exclusive skins and 400 gems to spend on skins or other items in-game. The Founder's Pack will only be available until the game launches.

Those that were part of the alpha will now find that the in-game store is now active. You can purchase gems with real money so you can purchase new gods and skins.

For those that have been playing on PC, you can take advantage of a one-time account merge. This will bring over select progress and items from the PC to the Xbox One. Doing so unlocks a skin for Zeus on the PC and Xbox One.

Smite will be released later this year on Xbox One. For more, check out our recent preview.

Our Take
I’ve been enjoying Smite on Xbox One, and look forward to jumping back in once more of my friends have access. If you’ve never played a MOBA, the auto-shop and auto-level features (which can be toggled off once you have your footing) are extremely useful, making it a good entry point to the genre.
