Someone Finally Invented The Holodeck

The idea of fully immersing ourselves in virtual world has been a pipe dream for decades, but we might actually be getting closer to pulling it off. A new outfit called The Void looks to open up a series of virtual reality arcades that are next best thing to a Star Trek holodeck.

The technology that The Void is using to put together a fully immersive virtual reality experience seems pretty sweet. Right now, The Void only has one location opening in Salt Lake City, Utah, but the company plans to open up other "theme parks" around the world soon.
