Report: Lego Dimensions Scooby Doo And Portal Sets Outed By Retailer Listing

by Mike Futter on May 05, 2015 at 03:34 AM

Over the weekend, unannounced sets for Warner Bros.’ upcoming Lego Dimensions toys-to-life game appeared on Walmart’s website. While the listings have since been removed, we can confirm that they did exist.

The information was first identified by Brick Inquirer, which found listings for The Simpsons (teased in the Lego Dimensions reveal video), Jurassic World, Chima sets, and more. A Google search reveals cached pages for the products.

No pictures are available of the sets at this time, and the prices may be placeholders. While it seems likely that these listings are legitimate, we’ve reached out to Warner Bros. for comment. We’ll update should we receive a response.

Our Take
Both of these sets open up enormous possibilities for Warner Bros. for Lego Dimensions. If the Portal listing is accurate, Warner could leverage its potential success to Lego-ize other popular franchises from other developers. The more access to other IP the Lego Dimensions gets, the more powerful the brand will become.
