Goat Simulator Gets DayZ-Inspired Expansion

by Ben Reeves on May 05, 2015 at 07:30 AM

Coffee Stain Studios' bizarre, buggy goat ride is getting infected by the horde this week. A new add-on gives players a new map to explore, a crafting system, and more goats to unlock. GoatZ also includes a new survival mode where players have to eat every five minutes in order to survive.

Goat Simulator recently landed on Xbox systems. Game Informer's Tim Turi found Goat Simulator to be goofy but lacking in zombies. That will all change when the new GoatZ add-on launches for PC, Mac, and Linux this Thursday, May 7 for only $4.99. Separate apps are also headed to iOS and Android.

Our Take
This is a fun way to do DLC. I wasn't a big fan of the original Goat Simulator, but silly add-ons like this are a good way to attract new consumers to a game they might have missed before.
