New Compendium To Increase DOTA 2 International Prize Pool

by Matthew Kato on May 01, 2015 at 03:32 PM

Valve has released a new Compendium – an interactive book designed to not only grow the prize pool for the DOTA 2 International tournament, but to give rewards to buyers.

Buying items in the Compendium contributes to the prize pool, and the more that grows, the more rewards – such as items, Immortals, and features – given to everyone who owns the Compendium.

New for this year are Compendium Challenges. Complete these in the game and win the match, and you'll get Compendium Coins. These can be turned in for item or set drops. Increasing your Compendium level also brings more riches.

Last year the Compendium helped bumped the International's prize pool to over $10 million.

For more on the Compendium and its contents, head over to DOTA 2's official blog.

This year's International is at Seattle's KeyArena, August 3 through 8.
