PSA: The Distribution Period For P.T. On PlayStation Network Ends This Month

by Kyle Hilliard on Apr 25, 2015 at 03:07 PM

A new notice on the official website for P.T. (A.K.A. Silent Hills) says the demo will be pulled from the PlayStation Store at the end of this month.

The distribution period of "P.T. (Playable Teaser)" on PlayStation®Store will expire on Wednesday, April 29, 2015.

No other new details are immediately apparent on the site, nor what the "expiration" of the "distribution period" exactly entails.

Our Take
Presumably, you will still be able to play the Silent Hills Playable Teaser as long as you have it on your hard drive, but it sounds like you won't be able to download it after April 29. It also calls into question what this means for the future of Silent Hills and Hideo Kojima and his role at Konami. It's dangerous to be too speculative, but it doesn't look great for the future of Silent Hills.
