If You Grabbed Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty PS4 With PS Plus, You Will Get The Vita And PS3 Versions Free

by Kyle Hilliard on Apr 25, 2015 at 07:33 AM

It was originally planned for Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty to only be cross-buy compatible for copies of the game purchased after its PS Plus window, but that has changed.

Writing on its website, Oddworld talked about changing its mind due to fan feedback:

Developing the other versions of the game is not a simple, cost-free process, and takes time, money and considerable effort. That said, numerous factors (including fan feedback) have prompted us to change our stance on this particular matter. So, if you downloaded New ‘n’ Tasty for PS4 during the PS Plus period, the PS3 and PS Vita versions of the game will be free for download for you on release.

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty was available for PS Plus subscribers in March on PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 3 version of the game released on April 21. The game is also available on Xbox One and PC, and is currently in development without a solid release date for Vita and Wii U.

Our Take
Vita is actually my platform preference when it's an option, so this is good news for me. I never played Oddworld back during its original release, but it has always seemed like the kind of game I would like. I look forward to playing it on Vita.
