Activision fired the first shot in the return of music gaming with the recently announced Guitar Hero Live. Now we all have the chance to see the full 34-minute presentation to get all of the details on the new game.

The presentation includes appearances by Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg, studio head and creative director of developer FreeStyleGames Jamie Jackson, Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz, and My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way.

If you just want to see gameplay right away, skip ahead to 18:20. Head to the 24-minute mark to learn more about the GHTV live playable music video network.

Our Take
I was initially highly skeptical of the live action presentation of Guitar Hero Live, but seeing full songs play out it seems like it actually kind of works. I think I can actually get behind ditching the Muppet-style band members of the past.
