Square Enix announced this morning that Final Fantasy Type-0 has shipped over 1 million copies worldwide. The title was packed with a code for the first Final Fantasy XV demo.

Type-0 is an update to a PSP title that never made it to western shores. You can read our review for more details.

Following the release, those that played the Final Fantasy XV demo had the opportunity to respond to it via a survey. On April 27, director Hajime Tabata will discuss player feedback on an episode of the Active Time Report. The episode will be broadcast at 11 p.m. Pacific / 2 a.m. Eastern on April 28. Square Enix suggests checking its Final Fantasy Facebook page for viewing details.

If you’d like to complete the survey, it is still live here. Square Enix says that the demo will only be packed with the “day one” edition, but some copies are still available from the Square Enix online store.

Given the long path Final Fantasy XV has taken through development (documented here), it's no wonder people have been eager to play it. You can see it for yourself in our Test Chamber.

Our Take
I had the opportunity to play Final Fantasy XV at PAX East and greatly enjoyed the combat. It clearly has been influenced by Square Enix’s more active RPGs, like Drakengard and Kingdom Hearts. It’s been a while since I fell in love with a Final Fantasy game, but this one started to sink its hooks into me quickly.
