Eidos Montreal Shows Off New Deus Ex's Box Art

by Jeff Cork on Apr 08, 2015 at 12:20 PM

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was just announced yesterday alongside exclusive art on Game Informer's latest cover. Luckily for fans, Eidos Montreal has already revealed yet another look at Adam Jensen's continuing adventure via the game's official box art. Even though Eidos Montreal isn't ready to talk about a release window for the current-gen game, you can get a sense of what you'll eventually be holding in your hands at some unknown date in the future.

Executive game director Jean-Francois Dugas tweeted an image of the box, featuring Adam Jensen (of course), as well as Viktor Marchenko on the bottom-left corner. Marchenko is a high-ranking member of a pro-augmentation group that is featured prominently in the game's story. You might recognize the cluster of guys in the bottom-right corner – the scene pops up around the :53 mark in the game's reveal trailer. There's also a VTOL popping out of the background, right above Marchenko's head. These are the preferred way to move agents around the world in infiltration and extraction missions.

Our Take

If nothing else, this is certainly one of the fastest "game announce to box-art reveals" runs I've ever seen. Even though they were cagey about the release date (or even year) during our visit, this makes me think it's coming sooner than later.
