This War Of Mine Charity DLC Has Already Helped 350 Children

by Mike Futter on Apr 01, 2015 at 08:49 AM

Developer 11 bit’s emotional and challenging commentary on war, This War of Mine, grabbed our attention last year. Now, the team behind the title is giving back with DLC.

The War Child Charity DLC is being sold through April 3 in three denominations: $0.99, $9.99, and $19.99. All three price points include the same content, with increased purchase price going toward the charity effort.

To date, 350 Syrian children have been helped by funds raised from the War Child Charity DLC. Money raised has been used for psycho-social support due to trauma, safe space for the children, educational aid (school fees, livelihood support, teacher training, and more).

100 percent of 11 bit’s earnings from the DLC is being contributed to the charitable efforts. The DLC adds street art created by a global collection of artists, 11 bit Studios’ graphic artists, and members of War Child UK.

You can purchase the DLC from the Steam page here. For more, check out our review of This War of Mine. A full infographic provides more information on the DLC and who has been purchasing it.
