See Zelda's Theme Played On Hyrule's Most Precious Commodity

by Kyle Hilliard on Mar 29, 2015 at 11:54 AM

In Hyrule (and most of the other worlds where Link has his adventures) bottles and the glass used to create them is very hard to come by, which means it's unlikely the act on display in this video could ever happen in a Zelda game.

Little is known about the video regarding where this is or who the artist is as the YouTube video has no description. The musicians simply says, "Those of you who have heard it won’t know when I mess up, but those of you who have heard it countless times may. Here we go. This is my attempt at a very difficult song." He then proceeds to play the familiar Zelda theme using the collection of water-filled glasses in front of him.

Update: The poster of the video followed up to say that the musician's name is Donal Hinely.

We recently asked Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma why bottles are such a rare commodity in Zelda's worlds. You can find out why, and read more from that interview by heading here.
