More Telltale's Walking Dead May Arrive Before Season 3's Debut

Telltale has no news on a release date or window for the third season of Walking Dead, but it is teasing that something else Walking Dead-related may appear from the studio before then.

Near the end of a recent SXSW panel from Telltale games (which you can see below – skip to around the 40 minute mark), Telltale's Job Stauffer says though you shouldn't expect it, "super, super soon," there's a good chance we will see more Walking Dead before season three.

Between the first and second season of The Walking Dead, Telltale released 400 Days (pictured above) which was a standalone episode taking place within Telltale's Walking Dead universe. Presumably, Stauffer is teasing something comparable to appear before season three, though he is intentionally vague on the panel.

Our Take
Something like 400 Days to bridge the gap seems like a safe bet, but who knows. Telltale is getting more and more diverse with each new release, so maybe the studio has something different in mind. In the meantime, while you're waiting for season 3 and whatever this is, you have plenty of Telltale games to play with Game of thrones and Tales from the Borderlands, both of which only recently started..
