The Danganronpa series' twisted high-school murder mystery storyline is becoming a real-life event at this year's Anime Conji on April 4.

Participants will search the Sheraton Hotel in San Diego to investigate for clues to help them discover which cosplayer is "the blackened" (the murderer). The event will start off with an introduction video at 10 a.m., and end at 6 p.m. with a class trial, where participants will use "truth bullets" they discovered during their investigation to solve the case. Each clue found can be turned in to the organizers in exchange for a gift. Check out the promotional video for the event, where Monokuma explores the hallways of the hotel.

The unique event is presented by NIS America and the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation. Read our review of the visual novel/adventure title Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair here.
