Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have announced another Pokémon distribution event. This one will deliver the three starters from Heart Gold and Soul Silver in their final forms.
As an added bonus, the Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligatr all come with hidden abilities. Maganium, a grass-type that evolves from Chikorita, comes with Leaf Guard (protecting it from status effects in harsh or extremely harsh sunlight) and the Sunny Day move that triggers the ability.
Typhlosion, a fire-type that evolves from Cyndaquil, gets the Flash Fire hidden ability. This powers up its fire moves by 50 percent and prevents it from taking damage from fire attacks. It comes with three fire-type moves on board.
Finally, Feraligatr, a water-type evolved from Totdile, has the Sheer Force hidden ability. This eliminates additional effects from the creature’s attacks in exchange for a 30 percent damage boost. That means the Ice Punch, Crunch, and Waterfall moves lose their bonus but deal an extra wallop.
In order to get these three, you need to access Pokémon Link from X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire. You have until November 30 to do so. For more, check out our review of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
