Apple's Watch Release Date, Price, And Features Revealed
Apple has previously announced its new venture into wearable tech, but now we have all the details. At today's press conference, Apple answered most of the big remaining questions such as "How much does it cost?" and "When will it be out?".
The Watch will come in three different formats (and many sub-formats) and will release on April 24. Each model comes in a 38mm or 42mm watch face size depending on how chunky of a device you prefer on your wrist. The battery life is rated at 18 hours, and it includes wi-fi, bluetooth, a heart rate sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope. Here's the breakdown on the primary offerings:
Apple Watch Sport
Price: Starting at $350 (38mm) or $400 (42mm)
Case: Aluminum
Face: "Ion-X glass"
Bands: Fluoroelastomer in five different colors
Apple Watch
Price: Starting at $550, up to $1,050
Case: Stainless steel
Face: Sapphire crystal
Bands: Leather, link bracelet, Milanese loop, and fluoroelastomer
Apple Watch Edition
Price: Starting at $10,000
Case: 18-karat gold
Face: Sapphire crystal
Bands: Leather and fluoroelastomer

Our Take
Holy cow, that last model is a bit excessive! But there are probably several rich people willing to throw down the cash. I don't think I'll be getting one of these anytime soon, but I usually can't resist Apple's tech by the time it gets to the third generation. What do you think of Apple's latest hardware?
