Is Activision Blizzard One Of The Best Companies To Work For?

by Ben Reeves on Mar 05, 2015 at 04:46 AM

If you're looking for a job in the video game industry then you might not want to fly past Activision Blizzard's job board. According to Fortune Magazine's list of Best Companies To Work For in 2015, Activision Blizzard has one of the best employee satisfaction ratings in the U.S. This marks the first time that Activision Blizzard has been named to Fortune's list.

Every year, Fortune pulls together information based on employee surveys and a detailed breakdown of a company's hiring practices, benefit programs, and methods of internal communication. According to Fortune's survey, most Activision Blizzard employees talked about the company's friendly atmosphere and felt that they could be themselves.

"We have always considered Activision Blizzard to be one of the greatest places to work," said Bobby Kotick, Chief Executive Officer of Activision Blizzard. "To be recognized for it by others is gratifying and rewarding, but being acknowledged as a great place to work by our own people means more to me than just about anything. They are the reason we are being recognized today."

Last year, Activision held a two-week event to help a provide employment assistance for military veterans, and earlier this year the company opened up Call of Duty Championship ticket sales to the general public.

Our Take
I'm sure some of the developers at Respawn might have something snarky to say about this achievement, but hopefully this is a sign that Activision Blizzard is doing right by its employees now.
