[Update] The Code In The Batman: Arkham Knight Trailer Has Been Cracked
Update #3: The cipher using the codes has been cracked, and the ultimate "prize" has been uncovered.
Reddit contributor SixSided figured out the cypher that the codes were a part of, and once plugged into the official website discovered they revealed...character bios. Ugh!
Thanks to all the members of our community who worked on this puzzle all day, and to SixSided. Too bad the payoff wasn't commensurate with the challenge.
Update #2: The third clue in the trailer's mysterious codes has been found, but what does it mean?
The third code (which actually appears first) has been found, but it's unreadable!
Can anyone make this one out? If so, post it in the comments section below, please!

Update #1: Smart and observant readers have uncovered a second clue and a possible motive behind it all.
Readers posting in the Comments section: The Duchess, Sachmoo, JinxedWolf, and Yodamjh (sorry if I missed anyone) have not only found a second code, but perhaps what they're for.
The codes are part of cypher with multiple entries on the game's official website (under the Persons of Interest tab).
Here's a shot of another code in a scene with Batman and Poison Ivy.

Original Story:
Batman developer Rocksteady has a history of easter eggs in its games, and today's new trailer for Arkham Knight may have just revealed a new puzzle piece for the upcoming title.
In the trailer Scarecrow discusses his plan to bring together some of Batman's arch-enemies and bring him and Gotham down.
At the end of the trailer Scarecrow's decrepit face is revealed in a sudden lightning flash. The shot comes and goes in a second. Within that single moment, however, could be a code that unlocks something bigger.
Investigating the scene frame by frame reveals what appears to be a 17-character code on the left side of the screen above Scarecrow's shoulder.

If you're watching the trailer you'd never see it unless you were looking right at the spot.
If it is some kind of code, it would be just the kind of thing developer Rocksteady would delight in, and has been doing all along.
We've reached out to Warner Bros. and Rocksteady to see if they could shed any light on the matter, and we'll update this story if we hear anything.
You can check out the original trailer here.
In the meantime, what do you think it is?
The image above has been color enhanced to further reveal the characters.
Note: As reader The Duchess notes in the comments section below, the first four characters read cRcn and not cRen as originally thought. Although it's slightly hard to read, we concur and the text above has been modified to read as such. We regret the error.
