JRPG Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines Gets U.S. Release Date On Vita

by Matthew Kato on Feb 19, 2015 at 04:06 AM

Death is certain, but for the clan in JRPG Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines, it comes sooner than you'd expect. With a life span of just two years and the inability to procreate, members of this cursed clan must mate with gods in order to continue their lineage and dungeon crawling ways.

The advantage of mating with a god is that it affects the stats and appearance of your descendant, and with over 100 deities in the game, the choices you make on this front affect your family tree.

Your party of adventurers consists of four members, and there are eight different classes for characters. Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines appears on March 3rd as a digital download on the PlayStation Store for $19.99.

Our Take
The Vita is on its last legs, and this kind of low-cost, digital-only way of making games – particularly niche ones like this –  should have been happening all along. It would have made those many months without any games to play on the handheld a lot more interesting.
