Resogun Challengers Update Out Today, Defenders Expansion Next Week
If you’ve saved the last humans and are ready for more voxel explosions, you’ll be happy to know that Resogun is getting beefed up today. The Challengers update is free for all players, bringing a new scoring system and challenges.
Players earn challenge points by completing tasks on familiar levels that have new modifiers and rulesets. For example, one challenge tasks you with saving 200 humans in a single level, with every enemy dropping one.
The update adds a new feat system, that tracks progress across all of the game modes. These award challenge points when completed. Rewards are unlocked as you progress through the ranks. Photo mode also comes to Resogun with the Challengers update, along with a “human gallery,” so you can organize the fleshy meat bags you’ve saved.
Resogun will be getting its second major DLC update next week. Resogun Defenders includes two new game modes: Protector and Commando.
Protector puts the last human colony under your care. You’ll have new powers, including automated ground defenses and teleporting at your disposal.
Commando mode is playable solo, cooperatively, or competitively and takes you out of your ship. You’re a human armed with a mini gun, defending your house from the invaders.
