by Kyle Hilliard on Feb 10, 2015 at 03:14 PM

Resident Evil HD Remake recently had the biggest opening day in PSN history and producer is Yoshiaki Hirabayashi is very thankful.

In a video addressed to fans of the game, Hirabayashi thanks the players and fans who picked up the game, seemingly surprised over how many copies the game has ended up selling so far.

The next Resident Evil game on the way, which Hirabayashi makes sure to mention in the video, is Resident Evil Revelations 2. The first episode launches February 24. You can learn more about the game by clicking the banner below.

Our Take
Capcom seems surprised by Resident Evil HD Remake's impressive reception. It makes me wonder if the next core entry in the Resident Evil series will feel more like classic Resident Evil. It's pretty clear players like it. At the very least, it seems like Resident Evil 2 could get the remake treatment because of this – something fans have been clamoring for for some time.
