Law & Order: SVU made its reputation as one of TV's great guilty pleasures by creating barely disguised roman á clefs based on recent media scandals. Now, it's set its sights on the "GamerGate" controversy and Anita Sarkeesian.

NBC just released a clip from the upcoming episode, entitled "Death Threats." In it, a female game designer is being encouraged to cancel the worldwide debut of her new game because of death threats from misogynistic "cyberterrorists." As always, it doesn't really take a PhD in theater studies to detect some distinct similarities between the events of the episode and the ugly events that have transpired in gaming the past year. Hey, games really are mainstream now!

Also, Ice-T says something about the cyberterrorists uploading something to the "dark web," which I'm not sure is a real thing. *Dun dun*
