It's not uncommon to see bigger and bigger payouts for eSports seasons and events, but with the 2015 League of Legends LCS, Vulcun.com will be offering a substantial $1 million prize pool on the fantasy side of things.

Like fantasy football or other popular fantasy offerings, users will manage teams and create a roster, and then sit back and see how things play out during LCS matches and games. It's roster against roster, and with a purse of this size involved, this could be yet another giant factor contributing to the popularity of the modern-day eSport. The program will currently support EU and NA LCS games.

"Fantasy eSports is very similar to traditional Fantasy sports for things like Football, Baseball and Basketball. With eSports, we have teams of professional players competing vs each other in a season-long league setting (just like the NFL)," says Vulcun founder and CEO Ali Moiz. "The way you play is exactly like traditional fantasy sports, where you pick a roster of players across different teams. You score points based on the individual performance of each player in your roster. Based on how many points you scored vs other users in a contest, you either win or lose."

The program features daily free and paid contents in a salary-cap format. Many popular ex-pros like Westrice are regulars on the site.

Our Take
This is a fairly significant prize pool for the fantasy side of eSports, and if things continue along this path it looks like eSports is only going to keep growing in 2015 and beyond.
