Nintendo Predicts Seattle Win For Super Bowl XLIX With Mario Kart And Toad

Nintendo is rooting for its home team, and it has made that clear with a Mario Kart 8 gif starring the New England Patriots’ Rob Gronkowski and the Seattle Seahawks’ Marshawn Lynch's alter ego – Toad.

Lynch's love of Toad was shared during a recent episode of Conan O'Brien's Clueless Gamer series. Lynch, when asked by Conan what he likes to play, replied, "Mario Kart," to which Conan followed-up by asking, "What do you like about Mario Kart?" and Lynch said, "Toad. And I like driving." So, in the gif, you will see Toad taking out what appears to a Mii version of Rob Gronkowski.

Nintendo is based in Seattle and clearly has a love for local professional sports as it is the majority owner of the Seattle Mariners Major League Baseball team.
