Fan Made Portal 2 Mod Looks Good Enough To Be From Valve

by Kyle Hilliard on Jan 31, 2015 at 09:15 AM

Playing the mod might offer a different conclusion, but in trailer form at least, Portal Stories: Mel looks like it could have come straight from Valve.

You can check out the trailer below (which is available in 60FPS if you're on a Chrome browser). The mod, which will be free, tells the story of Mel who interacts with new personality cores against a new enemy across 20 different puzzle maps. Based on the video, it looks like it takes place during the early days of Aperture’s testing initiatives.

You can find more about the mod on its Steam page here.

Another recent Portal mod that became popular, Aperture Tag, was a Portal game without portals, and instead gave players a special gun that could shoot the blue and orange gel seen in Portal 2. For more on that mod, head here.
