Dragon's Dogma (shown) didn't have a true online component when it came out in 2012, but now the open-world action RPG is getting the full treatment thanks to Dragon's Dogma Online, which has just been announced by Capcom for Japan.

According to a reveal in Japanese magazine Famitsu, Dragon's Dogma Online is scheduled to come out this year for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC. It's free to play, and will include microtransactions. The game also retains the A.I. pawns of the original title, and adds four-player multiplayer support.

There's no word on Capcom's plans for another single-player title in the series.
