Destiny Soundtrack Gets Injection Of Guitar Metal From Fan

by Mike Futter on Jan 26, 2015 at 02:37 AM

Destiny has been a controversial game, but one of its least contentious elements is the soundtrack. Composed by Halo veteran Marty O’Donnell, Michael Salvatori, and Beatles legend Paul McCartney, the music underscoring the gameplay is quite good.

YouTuber and guitarist Ryan Abundo composed this medley of four tracks from the Destiny soundtrack with a heavy injection of (spin)metal. The Traveler was a clear choice for the arrangement since it’s a tune most who have played the game know.

I’m delighted to see he included The Last Array, a track from early in the game on Earth. You can listen to the entire piece here:

Bungie shared the video this weekend, but the bigger news coming out of the studio was about plans for the upcoming House of Wolves DLC and how it may fix some of the progression problems from The Dark Below.

If you like what you hear above, you can also download the track. Abundo has made it available for free here.
