Despite Recent Acquisitions, Mobile Publisher Kabam Lays Off Staff In San Francisco
Game Informer has received word from staff at Kabam that the publisher of mobile titles, including the recent Marvel: Contest of Champions, has laid off staff. The publisher has confirmed the news to Game Informer.
Kabam, which also publishes Fast & Furious 6: The Game, The Hunger Games, and The Lord of the Rings: Legends, recently announced acquisition of TapZen (This Means War) and Magic Pixel Games, which contributed to South Park: The Stick of Truth and PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale on Vita.
Those acquisitions brought the number of Kabam studios acquired since 2010 to nine.
