Even Super Smash Bros. Creator Masahiro Sakurai Is Having Trouble Getting His Hands On Amiibos
Masahiro Sakurai recently tweeted that during a lunch-break excursion for Amiibos, he wasn't able to find what he was looking for.

The rough, google-assisted translation reads that Sakurai went out on his lunch break to try and find Shiek, Meta Knight, Lucario, and Rosalina, but they were sold out.
It's fair to call Amiibos a hit for Nintendo. They were a big part of the recent Nintendo Direct and turning them over on eBay and comparable sites is becoming more and more prominent.
