Rumor: Indigo Prophecy Remastered Listing Points To Imminent Release

by Kyle Hilliard on Jan 24, 2015 at 05:11 AM

Before Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain (but after Omikron: The Nomad Soul), Quantic Dream created Indigo Prophecy, and it looks like it may be making a return.

A teaser site, achillingfeeling.com, has been counting down to something with text that appeared in the game Indigo Prophecy in the background, but the more damning evidence of the game's imminent re-release comes from an Amazon.com listing for Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered (Fahrenheit was the game's European title). The listing points to a January 29 release on PC for the game and has a collection of screenshots showcasing high-definition touch-ups to the PlayStation 2/Xbox era game, which you can see in the gallery below.

Our Take
Indigo Prophecy is notable for being ahead of its time in terms of narrative focused gameplay. It predates and shares parallels with the story formula used by Telltale Games games by many years. The game is also notable, however, for its story going wildly off the rails. I'm excited for it to see re-release (if that is in fact the case) as I always felt it was under-appareciated – even if it does start losing its mind near the end.
