Footage From Cancelled DC Universe Fighting Game From Killer Instinct Developer Appears Online

by Kyle Hilliard on Jan 24, 2015 at 10:38 AM

Double Helix, the developer that recently brought Killer Instinct back to life (and then handed it over to Iron Galaxy after being purchased by Amazon) had a Justice League game in the works that was cancelled. Some footage from that game recently appeared online.

You can see the gameplay below, which was uploaded by YouTube channel ptoponline. The game was apparently code named Green Lantern: A Justice League Game and according to ptoponline, some concept art from the game leaked in 2012, but nobody knew what it was for. The footage shows Batman taking on Superman in a fighting game closer to Power Stone than Mortal Kombat.

Our Take
I'm curious if Warner Bros. was looking to create a DC fighting game, and Injustice: Gods Among Us was the title that won out over this one.
