Weekend Warrior 01/23/2015

by Ben Reeves on Jan 23, 2015 at 01:00 PM

The new year is in full swing at this point, but many of us are still catching up on games that came out last year. Far Cry 4, LittleBigPlanet 3, and Grey Goo, are just a few of the things on our plate this weekend. What are your gaming plans for this weekend? Let us know in the comments below.

Jeff Marchiafava (@GIJeffM): I’ve been devoting all of my gaming time to Far Cry 4 recently, and that will probably be true for this weekend as well. I’ve liberated the entire south of Kyrat and crafted pretty much everything I can (save for a few that require exotic animals located in the north), but it still feels like I’m barely scratching the surface. I do foresee one potential detour from Kyrat, however: Thanks to the latest Humble Bundle, my Steam account is now full of nerdy collectible card games which I’m interested in checking out.

Ben Hanson (@Yozetty): I finally replaced the power supply on my PC, so I'm looking forward to diving head-first back into the glory that is Steam. I've only played one campaign mission so far, but I'm going to be playing more of the new RTS Grey Goo. It's nice to have a  new RTS to play, but I'm still in the uncomfortable "Why isn't this more like Starcraft?" phase with the game. Other than that, I'm sure that I will squeeze in some more time with Smash Bros. and possibly even LittleBigPlanet 3. Have a good weekend!

Dan Tack (@DanTack): H1Z1 with some friends, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, and probably some Dota, League of Legends, and Smite.

Brian Shea (@BrianPShea): I always loved GTA V, but didn’t have a chance to finish it when it released on last-gen consoles. Now that I have the PS4 version in my possession, I’m planning on starting a fresh save that I will hopefully see through to the end. Outside of that, I’m looking at continuing Sunset Overdrive, which I’m having a lot of fun with. I also just picked up Wii version of Punch-Out!! through the Wii U digital release since I missed out on it the first time around.

Andrew Reiner (@Andrew_Reiner): Having just finished Never Alone, a game I highly recommend you play, I’m returning to Far Cry 4. I’m also going to check out that Captain Toad game this weekend. Movie watching consists of Gone Girl and Lucy.

Ben Reeves (@BenjaminReeves): I'm recently recovered from a trip to Jupiter's moons, so I'll probably take it easy and relax with a 27 hour nap. A friend of mine just got a recipe book on how to cook using the color purple, so I'm hoping to make some delicious snarple jack cheese fritters. Also, Far Cry 4.
