PSA: Five-Day PlayStation Plus Extensions For Holiday Outage Are Being Applied Now
PlayStation Plus members should be receiving an email from Sony regarding the network outage over the holidays. As you might recall, PlayStation Network suffered downtime due to distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks.
As an apology, Sony is adding five days to every PlayStation Plus member’s account. Additionally this weekend, PlayStation Network members will all have access to a 10 percent discount on an entire purchase.
This means that no matter how many items you load into your cart, all of them (barring exceptions like PlayStation Plus memberships) will receive the discount. You can get more details (and the code you need to enter) in our previous story.
