Harmonix Survey Asks What You Want In A New Rock Band Game

by Mike Futter on Jan 16, 2015 at 06:36 AM

With the recent release of Rock Band DLC for the first time in nearly two years, people are expressing interest in plastic instruments again. In response, Harmonix is circulating a survey inquiring what you’d want in a new Rock Band game.

The third and final page of the survey asks about a campaign mode, compatibility with the instruments you already have, DLC compatibility, and online multiplayer. Additionally, Harmonix is also floating the idea of weekly song drops, just like in the old days.

The studio also seems to be considering all three current systems (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Wii U) and how you might want to purchase the title if instrument compatibility were achieved. So, what say you? Is the world ready for a new Rock Band game?

Our Take
Harmonix seems to be seriously considering a return to the days when every living room had a set of plastic instruments. Whether enough time has passed for that to be reality once more might depend on your responses to this survey.
