Reader Discussion: Have You Ever Had A Hard Time Letting Go Of A Game?

As I look at my gaming habits over the past few years, I’ve become a “love ‘em and leave ‘em” gamer. I play for about as long as I’m having fun (or sometimes just a hair more if the end is in sight) and then I move to the next.

Every once in a while, a game sinks its claws into me and won’t let go. These are often titles that don’t have a formal end.

Animal Crossing has on more than one occasion hooked me for extended periods. Chromehounds and I had an exclusive relationship for months. Most recently, Destiny grabbed on tight and still hasn’t let go (as my weekend in the Crucible as part of exotic bounties proved).

We’re interested in hearing if you’ve ever been grabbed by a game like this. It could be a MOBA, World of Warcraft or other MMOs, or just about anything else. Let us know in the comments.
