Reader Discussion: Which Modern Developers Should Tackle Classic Franchises?
Devolver Digital is attempting to make a Seaman game, and The Odd Gentlemen are working on a new King's Quest. What other modern developers would you like to see tackling classic franchises?
Maybe Rocksteady (Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City) should take on a Metroid game. Maybe DrinkBox Studios (Guacamelee) should make a new Mega Man game. New developers taking on classic franchises is nothing new, but there are some combinations that would be better than others.
Do you have any good ideas? How about Humble Hearts (Dust: An Elysian Tail) making a new 2D Castlevania game?
