by Mike Futter on Dec 29, 2014 at 11:40 AM

Gaming marathons have become a go-to mechanism for fundraising. Not only is it enjoyable to watch a group come together for a good cause, but you can relieve some great gaming moments from the comfort of your living room.

A group of 33 gamers are currently in the midst of the 13th Zeldathon. The event started on Saturday, December 27 and will continue through a finale featuring Super Smash Bros. on January 2.

This year’s event has a fundraising target of $100,000. Funds will support Direct Relief, an organization that in its most recently completed fiscal year provided $284 million in medical supplies, medicine, and cash to healthcare providers in poor communities in 69 countries.

You can tune into the Zeldathon on the group’s website. You can also check out the entire schedule for the remainder of the event.
