Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, And Other Tracks Coming To Theatrhythm Final Fantasy In Japan

by Kyle Hilliard on Dec 20, 2014 at 08:34 AM

Some non-Final Fantasy music tracks are heading to Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call – in Japan, at least.

News of the DLC comes from dengekionline, which was translated by Siliconera. The DLC songs, which includes tracks from Final Fantasy XIV, Final Fantasy Type-0, the SaGa series, Secret of Mana, and Chrono Trigger, release in Japan on December 24. There's no word yet on whether these tracks will come to North America yet.

You can see the list of promised tracks below:

  • Ultima – Final Fantasy XIV
  • Hard to Miss – Final Fantasy XIV
  • Zero – Final Fantasy Type-0
  • Opening Titles – Romancing SaGa 2
  • Passionate Rhythm – Romancing SaGa –Minstrel Song-
  • Battle #4 – SaGa Frontier
  • Meridian Dance – Secret of Mana
  • Chrono Trigger – Chrono Trigger

We're big fans of Chrono Trigger 'round these parts, and you can learn why by reading the aptly titled feature Why We Love Chrono Trigger, by heading here.

Our Take
I doubt few would complain about these tracks coming to North America, and I imagine no one would complain about a dedicated Theatrhythm Chrono Trigger. I would especially like to see the track below be featured in a rhythm game. That take on the Chrono Trigger theme comes from the album The Brink of Time, which composer Yasunori Mitsuda was fully involved with.
