Destiny's Crota's End Raid Soloed, 10 Days After Release

by Jeff Cork on Dec 19, 2014 at 03:20 AM

Destiny's newest raid, Crota's End was beaten the day it was released, December 9. That initial effort took seven players six hours. Since then players have streamlined the process, and well-organized teams can beat it in around 30 minutes. At least one player out there, however, makes it even more interesting.

Destiny player sc Slayerage took a level 31 hunter into the raid alone, and lived to tell the tale. Better yet, the entire thing was recorded, so you can watch it yourself. It's certainly less of a slog than the first victory, and it shows what's possible if you happen to be an exceptionally good player.

Our Take
Even though my enthusiasm for Destiny has cooled since it's release, I'm always interested to see how players approach new content. It's fun to see the first wave of players brute-force their way to victory before others actual strategies emerge. Then things like sc Slayerage's victory become possible.
