Mortal Kombat Developer Announces WWE Mobile Title
Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm Studios has announced that it's working on a WWE mobile title called WWE Immortals for release in 2015 on iOS mobile and Android devices.
Phosphor Game Studios (who developed five of the games in Kinect Adventures) is assisting with development, and it'll be free-to-play.
No other details are available at the moment, and given that publisher Warner Bros. is teasing a run-up of features and news up to launch, it seems there won't be enough time to put out the game in early 2015.
Our Take
Given NetherRealm's so-so experience with the platform it will be interesting to see if Immortals rises above being a touchscreen tap-fest with a tempting grind vs. pay-to-upgrade proposition.
