[Update] Xbox Live Appears To Be Functional Once More

by Mike Futter on Dec 01, 2014 at 07:44 PM

Update 2: Microsoft has offered comment on last night's Xbox Live outages. "Xbox Live was experiencing log-in issues for some Xbox 360 and Xbox One customers," says the representative. "Service has since been restored—customers now have full access to Xbox Live. As always, please refer to our Xbox Support page for the latest status updates."

Update: Microsoft has not commented on the earlier Xbox Live outage, but services seem to be restored. No cause for the down time has been confirmed.

Original Story:

Parts of Xbox Live are currently non-operational. It appears that social features are affected, including friends lists and leaderboards.

The official Xbox website also seems to be impacted by the current outage. We’ve reached out to Microsoft for more information, as the Xbox Live support page, which is part of Xbox.com, is unreachable right now.

We’ll update should we receive more information. In the meantime, the Xbox Live Marketplace appears to be accessible, and downloads appear to be operational.
