Raptr Launching Dedicated Game Video Sharing Site

by Kyle Hilliard on Nov 23, 2014 at 06:02 AM

Currently in beta, is a site for sharing video game videos built by the gaming social network site, Raptr.

You can check out the in-beta site here. You can also download, from Raptr, special software to help you capture gameplay on your PC by heading here. The beta site has been live for a little less than a week.

Our Take
This is a fairly dominated market. I don't think anyone is complaining about the services provided by YouTube or Twitch in terms of sharing videos of gameplay. The differentiating idea here seems to be a platform to offer smaller chunks of gameplay (as opposed to hours-long Twitch archives) in a place dedicated entirely to gaming (unlike YouTube, which services all manner of video). Raptr will be fighting a difficult, uphill battle against its competitors.
