Original story:

The launch of 343 Industries' Halo: The Master Chief Collection hasn't gone as planned, but the studio is continuing to try and address the title's problems. The next patch for the game is scheduled to come out today, and will address matchmaking, gameplay, and other issues.

The studio says that it plans to put out a patch later this afternoon (Pacific time) that improves matchmaking, tweaks the UI, and features a host of game-specific fixes.

Our Take:
There are a lot of moving parts to any game, and with a collection like this I wonder if having so many different developers working on all its pieces played a role in this situation.
