Free Shadow Of Mordor DLC Offers New Challenge Without The Use Of Your Wraith Powers
A new, free update for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is rolling out today on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. When you boot the game up again, you’ll have access to a new skin, new epic rune, and a challenge of your combat skill.
If you’ve played through the campaign, you’ll recognize Lithariel, commander of the tribesmen of Nurn. You’ll be able to use her likeness in combat as well as a new rune that gives you an additional “last chance.”
More importantly, you’ll gain access to the Power of Defiance challenge. This pits you (as Lithariel) against the Uruk horde, without any of your supernatural abilities.
That means death is permanent, and you won’t have Celebrimbor’s wraith powers to aid you. For more on Shadow of Mordor, check out our review.
