Where Is Our Super Smash Bros. For Wii U Review?
The review embargo for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is up, but our review isn't ready. What's the holdup? While we've been able to play through the game extensively, the online component isn't up and running. Until we get a chance to see how well that aspect of the game performs, we're not going to provide our final thoughts on it.
Nintendo says that a game update will be going live tomorrow evening, which adds online functionality. The game is hitting shelves on the 21st, and we'll be spending plenty of time checking out its performance and features on live servers.
In the meantime, I can say that it's a fantastic game, and that anyone with a passing interest in Smash Bros. should seriously consider picking it up. The eight-player matches are a particular highlight, and you can see several of them in our Test Chamber.
