Following the problems with Assassin’s Creed Unity, Ubisoft launched a live update page for users to track repairs. Now, the publisher has released a similar site for Far Cry 4.

The first batch of issues that Ubisoft is investigation should result in fixes for PC and PlayStation 3. Additionally, Ubisoft has acknowledged problems with pre-order bonus codes.

Ubisoft says it has been able to reproduce PC crashes resulting in a black screen. The publisher says certain peripherals may be causing the problem, but the issue is under investigation.

For PlayStation 3 players with “game data is corrupt” errors, Ubisoft recommends deleting data related to Far Cry 3. The publisher also says that some similar reports are coming in from those who haven’t played the last Far Cry title.

Ubisoft is looking into problems with pre-order codes for the Blood Ruby mission. These include players who received invalid codes and those that did not receive an email at all.

Finally, a day one patch is available for the title. Ubisoft recommends that you install that to see if other issues are resolved. The full patch notes are available on the company’s website.

Our Take
Ubisoft isn’t having a very good month at all. Far Cry 4 was a chance to improve its profile amidst major problems with Assassin’s Creed Unity. Instead, it’s another stumble, albeit not quite so bad as faceless French citizens and falling through the streets of Paris.
