by Sam Stewart on Nov 12, 2014 at 11:56 AM

Along with Street Fighter and Soul Calibur, Tekken is one of the longest running and most adored fighting game series. Bandai Namco has just revealed the first gameplay trailer for its next entry, Tekken 7, which is headed to arcades.

Although the trailer is in Japanese, anyone can understand the visuasl and combos showcased in this trailer. You'll also get a look at two new characters, Claudio and Katarina.

Based on the announcement page from the official site, Bandai Namco will be showcasing the game in various locations around Japan on the 22nd and 23rd of November. It's likely this game will come to home consoles eventually, but for now no announcements have been made. Former editor Dan Ryckert enjoyed the last entry in the series Tekken Tag Tournament 2, saying it was one of the most refined fighters on the market.

Our Take
I've always been more of a Soul Calibur fan, but I can't deny that this early gameplay footage looks really good. The attacks are flashy and the combos come together beautifully. I might just have to give it a shot whenever it makes its way to North America.
