by Mike Futter on Nov 10, 2014 at 04:04 PM

Update: Nintendo America has posted that the 11 new Amiibo figures announced last night will be coming to North America in February 2015.

Original Story:

Nintendo's Japanese Amiibo website has revealed 11 new figures in the product line coming in two waves early in 2015. This is in addition to the 18 coming before the end of 2014.

Wave two consists of eight characters. These are Lucario, Rosalina, Bowser, Toon Link, Sheik, Ike, Meta Knight, and King Dedede. These Amiibo toys are due on January 22, 2015, in Japan.

The final three, Shulk, Sonic, and Mega Man are listed for a February 2015 release. We've reached out to Nintendo to find out if there is news about North American release dates.

The first batch of Amiibo figures is due alongside Super Smash Bros. on November 21. To get a better look at the newly revealed toys, click the top image to enlarge.

Our Take
I am very interested in that Mega Man Amiibo, especially since there is little chance that he'll end up like Link did. I'm not sure why Nintendo thought a urine-colored stand was the right call here.
