Catch Latios And Latias With Pokémon EON Tickets

by Ben Reeves on Nov 07, 2014 at 01:38 PM

If you want some of the rarest Pokémon in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, you’ll need to use your 3DS's StreetPass feature and get an EON Ticket starting November 21.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire release this November 21, but in order to get some of the rarest pokémon in the game, players will need an EON Ticket. Fortunately, Nintendo will be spreading these tickets out virally through its StreetPass system.

Pokémon organizers will begin releasing the tickets on November 21, and players who encounter these people in the real world will receive a Mystery Gift function, which will reveal a Wonder Card. The Wonder Card can then be redeemed for an EON Ticket at a Pokémon Center by speaking to an attendant in a blue uniform. Those trainers will then be able to pass Wonder Cards onto other players they meet through StreetPass.

Our Take
This is a clever way to spread new content around, and fortunately it's free. If you don't see EON Tickets right away at launch, don't worry, they should become progressively less rare as time goes on. Unfortunately, this means I have to start carrying my 3DS around with me everywhere I go, because StreetPasses seem rare in my area. Or course, this is probably Nintendo's intention with the program.
