Wolves In Sheep's Clothing In Forza Horizon 2's Falken Car Pack

by Matthew Kato on Nov 04, 2014 at 04:04 AM

If you've been playing Forza Horizon 2, by now you should have some proud additions to your garage. But if you're looking for something rare or powerful or unusual, look no further than the new Falken car pack.

The six-car pack is now available for the game (click for our review) on Xbox One* for $5, or free if you've purchased the game's car pass.

Here are some of the cars' descriptions direct from developer Playground Games and Microsoft:

2014 Alfa Romeo 4C
"As with any sports car built by Italians, the looks are only the icing; it's the cake that is really tasty..."

2014 BMW M4 Coupe
"BMW says the smaller, lighter motor enhances handling, and this would be hard to argue with since the new M4 is grippy, it transitions like a trooper, and it can still wag its tail if encouraged to do so."

2014 Chevrolet SS
"At a glance, the SS is a smart-looking four-door but, under the hood, is a V8 pushing out more than 400 horsepower. When given a nudge, it responds with a roar and will force you back into its plush seating as it hits 60 mph in less than five seconds."

1988 Lamborghini Jalpa
"It has been referred to as the baby Lambo, the smaller sibling to the legendary Countach. However, one look at the radical lines penned by Marcello Gandini may raise some eyebrows. After all very little about the Jalpa is small."

1969 Toyota 2000GT
"Rare, beautiful, and startlingly expensive, the 2000GT has all the attributes of a European supercar, but it's not European at all."

1990 Subaru Legacy RS
"The Legacy RS Turbo was the most powerful model and still has a strong following among Subie enthusiasts."

*The Falken car pack, as well as all other DLC for the title, is only available for the Xbox One version of the game.

Our Take:
I like the sounds of these cars, and their looks – cruising around in the game in what looks like a crap retro Toyota or Subaru, only to have some power, is cool.
